SEM manufacture three ranges of brushless ac servo motor to meet the needs of the different market sectors. Typical applications include: Machine Tools, Robotics, Automation, Transfer Lines and similar applications.

Features include:

• Sinusoidal motor back e.m.f. waveform
• Integral resolver fitted as standard
• Speeds up to 10,000 rpm
• Thermal sensor mounted in motor winding
• Class F insulation
• IP65 enclosure protection
  IP64 at shaft with seal fitted
• Double shielded, single row, radial ball bearings
  which, under normal conditions, are maintenance free
• A range of design options such as:
        - Holding brake (spring applied or permanent magnet)
        - Incremental or absolute encoder
        - Keyed or non-keyed shafts
        - Plug, flying-lead or terminal connections
• Variants and special designs are also available on request

 

HDM SERIES HIGH TORQUE DENSITY LOW INERTIA EXTREMELY COMPACT DESIGN Combining Neodymium Iron Boron magnets with segmented sector technology, the HDM series offers high torque to size ratios - ideal where space is at a premium and high dynamic performance is required. Available up to 25 Nm.
HR / HRS SERIES HIGH ACCELERATION / DECELERATION Combining Neodymium Iron Boron magnets with low inertia rotors, the HR / HRS series offers high dynamic performance in frame sizes from 55 to 190mm. Ideal as a standard stock motor where high response is required. Available up to 67 Nm.
HJ SERIES LARGE DIAMETER SHAFT, ROTOR & BEARINGS HIGH ROTOR INERTIA HIGH SHAFT STIFFNESS For applications requiring increased stability at low speeds together with increased rigidity. Ideal for machine tool and direct drive applications. Available up to 67 Nm.

STOCK AC SERVO MOTORS

To complement the brushless ac servo drives stocked by Norwin, the following SEM brushless ac servo motors are also available from stock. All of these motors have sinusoidal armature windings and are fitted with resolvers for rotor position feedback.

It is well known that SEM offers a wide range of options for their motors; optional windings, holding brakes, mechanical interfaces etc. So if you need an option that is not listed below, please give us a call to discuss your specific requirements.
